Senior Java Engineer

You work on software for Defence, NATO, the police or the Dutch government. Which project exactly depends on your experience and preferences. What's certain: your code runs in demanding environments where reliability and security are never afterthoughts, and you help shape how it's built.
What you will do
- Set the technical direction and architecture of mission-critical systems
- Design complex solutions where robustness and security are never an afterthought
- Mentor medior and junior engineers and raise the team's technical bar
- Be a sparring partner for the client on design choices and feasibility
- Guard the quality bar through reviews, standards and clear agreements
What we are looking for
- Technical degree (BSc/MSc), for example Computer Science, Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence
- At least 7 years of work experience as a Java software engineer
- In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate
- Experience with Angular, React or Vue.js on the frontend
- Comfortable with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum, applies SOLID principles and passes them on to others
- Dutch nationality (many of our clients require this for a security screening)
