This is what our engineers work on. From command posts to forensic platforms, from Defence and NATO to Dutch government.

Command & Control for the armed forces
The Dutch armed forces depend on a vast network of sensors, vehicles and command posts that need to communicate in real time. NCIM engineers build and maintain the software that makes this possible: from the interface on a command post to the data connection with autonomous ground vehicles in the field.
In one of our projects, we contribute to EDA-CUGS, the largest European R&D program for unmanned ground vehicles. This means working in an international environment, with teams from several European countries, on technology that has never been built before.
What makes this work special: testing doesn't stop at the office. Our engineers go to the barracks, fly drones, and test what they've built in the field.

IT systems for NATO
NCIM is the only Dutch supplier of external engineers to the NATO Communications and Information Agency, NATO's IT organization. Our people work on-site in The Hague, Brussels, Mons, and La Spezia in multinational teams that operate entirely in English.
The work is broad: logistics systems, secure communication platforms, operational information systems. What ties it together is the scale and the security bar. Code that ships here is used across dozens of member states.

Cybersecurity and emergency dispatch systems for national security
We work on the largest integrated emergency dispatch system in the Netherlands: the software that enables 112 control rooms to coordinate incidents and deploy resources. This is a system where uptime is literally a matter of life and death.
In addition, NCIM engineers build systems for organizations including Europol and the OPCW. These are assignments that require the highest level of security, where architectural decisions have direct operational consequences.
This is software that can never fail. That demands a different mindset than building for e-commerce or an insurer: extensive testing protocols, strict separation of responsibilities and a culture where "good enough" is not good enough.

Forensic software for police and NFI
Our engineers work on software that helps law enforcement solve crimes. These are not standard business applications; they are tools that index and search enormous volumes of data. They surface what would otherwise remain hidden, decrypt communications and recognize patterns across datasets.
Our clients include the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) and the Dutch National Police, and our engineers work directly alongside the investigators who rely on this software. That makes the requirements fundamentally different from a typical enterprise environment: you need to think like an investigator.
Technically, it is data engineering at scale: fast search and correlation across tens of millions of records, under strict security and privacy constraints.

Digital systems for the Dutch central government
From the systems behind the House of Representatives to the delivery infrastructure of DUO and Logius. The Dutch central government is one of our largest clients.
Our engineers build and maintain systems that millions of people rely on every day, usually without realizing it. You'll find NCIM engineers at organizations like DICTU, Logius, the Supreme Court and the Municipality of Rotterdam.
The technical challenges are real: legacy modernisation at scale, integration of systems that are decades old, high availability requirements and sensitive personal data that must be processed with the utmost care.
Curious?
We're looking for Java and .NET engineers, from medior to senior, who want more than standard IT: people who get genuinely excited about software that matters, for clients most engineers never get near.
No complicated procedures. Just drop Jessy a message on LinkedIn, by email or via WhatsApp and we'll take it from there.
